1. Removing stop-sell does not necessarily restore inventory, a usable rate, or an eligible stay.
2. Confirm that the original reason for closure has ended before exposing rooms for sale.
3. Check the saved Agoda offer and repeat the same guest search after the normal connected update.
You remove a stop-sell, but Agoda still says the room is unavailable. That does not automatically mean the reopening failed to arrive. Another condition may still prevent the stay from being sold.
This Agoda YCS checklist uses the current Agoda Partner Portal name for the former YCS backend. Start with one room type, a defined date range, and the rate you intend to reopen. Do not try to solve one closed offer by opening the entire property.
Authorize the Reopening Before Changing the Calendar
Confirm why the room was closed. Maintenance needs the responsible employee's release. A group hold needs an approved inventory decision. A temporary commercial stop-sell needs the distribution owner's permission to end it.
Check the front desk room calendar for existing stays and blocks on every affected night. “The room looks empty now” is not evidence it can be sold tomorrow. Count only rooms the hotel can actually honor.
Find the normal update owner. If the PMS, or Property Management System, and channel manager control Agoda availability, make the reopening there and use Partner Portal to inspect the received position. For a manually managed hotel, work in Partner Portal. Do not repeatedly open the portal while an upstream system keeps sending a closure.
When a closure is cleared in one screen but remains in another, the useful question is which room and dates the instruction controls. With Smart Order's connected hotel channel manager, staff can review mapped inventory and channel rates alongside the reservation changes affecting that stock. Use that source position to make the approved reopening, then check the Agoda result.
Reopen the Inventory You Can Actually Sell
Review room commitments and channel availability before restoring sales, so reopening does not expose occupied or protected rooms.
Work Through the Agoda YCS Reopening Checklist
For hotel-type properties, sign in to Partner Portal, select the property, and open Rates and availability, then Calendar. Select the relevant rooms, rate plans, and dates. Menu labels may vary by property type and account configuration.
For connected properties, use these checks to inspect the result; edit managed values in the normal source system. A local portal edit may be overwritten by its next update.
- Check actual rooms to sell. Look across every night of the intended stay. If one night has zero available rooms, removing a closure alone cannot make the whole stay bookable. Do not enter an arbitrary positive quantity to test reopening.
- Check room-level closure. Confirm the intended room is open for the approved dates, not just that one plan has an open setting.
- Check the intended rate plan. A room can be open while its flexible, breakfast, or other plan remains closed or inactive. Inspect the specific offer you want back on sale.
- Check usable prices. Confirm a valid rate exists for each required night and the tested occupancy. Do not assume a reopening restores missing prices or repairs a parent-rate setup.
- Check the stay rules. Review minimum and maximum stays and minimum nights for stay-throughs. A one-night test can remain unavailable under an intentional two-night minimum.
- Save and reopen the same dates. In the system used for the approved change, review and save the update. Then inspect the stored values and Partner Portal result. A changed editing panel is not the final check.
In the current hotel calendar, stay rules can be reached through the relevant rate plan's three-dot menu and Stay restrictions. Some accounts show an Advanced view instead. Read the field's meaning before changing it: minimum stay applies to arrivals, while a stay-through minimum can affect a stay arriving earlier.
Keep the remaining commercial rules intact unless a change has been approved. Reopening a room does not mean every length of stay, occupancy, or rate plan should qualify.
Use the Remaining Symptom to Find the Next Check
The Portal Still Shows Zero Rooms
Compare that night with the hotel's actual remaining stock and the quantity held in the normal distribution source. Check for an existing stay, a maintenance block, a retained group allocation, or an unremoved manual closure.
If the hotel has no sellable room, the zero is correct. If the source has approved stock but Agoda does not, confirm the room link and latest update result before increasing anything in the portal.
The Room Opens, but One Offer Is Missing
Inspect that offer's rate, availability, occupancy, and restrictions. For a price linked to a parent plan, verify the parent setup and the rules applying to the specific offer.
Do not delete or recreate a live rate plan as a first response. A targeted correction is easier to verify and avoids changing other active bookings or products.
A Longer Stay Works, but a One-Night Search Fails
Read the minimum-stay settings for the tested arrival and occupied dates. For example, a hypothetical two-night arrival minimum can correctly reject one night while allowing two, assuming the other conditions are met.
If the minimum is intentional, use an eligible stay to verify reopening. If it is an obsolete event rule, obtain approval to correct only the affected dates.
The Room Opens and Then Closes Again
Compare the time of the change with later connected updates or staff edits. Check the normal source system for a closure, zero quantity, or rule that was never corrected.
Record the sequence and restore one agreed source of control. Repeated portal edits can briefly mask the cause without fixing it. Do not suspend the connection or clear unrelated restrictions merely to keep the room green.
The Whole Property Remains Unavailable
Check for a property-level status or action notice as well as room inventory. If the property itself needs reopening or account action, take it to the authorized account owner and Agoda support.
A property appearing in search is not proof the particular room can be booked. Equally, one unavailable date search does not prove the whole listing is closed.
Verify the Intended Sale Without Opening Everything Else
Search Agoda using the approved dates, number of rooms, adults, and children where relevant. Continue to the room and rate choice. Confirm the intended offer is selectable and the total, inclusions, and terms are right.
Check an adjacent date or stay pattern that should remain restricted. A successful reopening should not also sell the maintenance night or expose an unapproved rate.
Use the hotel's direct booking availability only as a separate comparison of the same underlying room stock, not proof that Agoda is fixed. Each channel's public offer needs its own check.
After the next routine connected update, inspect the same Agoda dates again. There is no universal waiting time that proves success; a failed or pending update needs attention rather than repeated blind retries.
Keep the task open if an approved offer still cannot be selected. Give support the property and room, rate plan, dates, expected quantity, remaining restrictions, before-and-after times, and screenshots without guest data. The reopening is complete when the intended offer stays bookable and the controls you meant to retain still work.
